Teams Popularity
New England (-10.5) at Cleveland (+10.5) 98/2
New England got the GOAT back and is now going to dominate Cleveland; end of story. Even without a run game; with both Blount and Bolden out; I can’t see the Patriots losing. Gronk, Edelman, Freeny and Hightower are also inactive for this game; but the Patriots will still dominate.
Washington (+4) at Baltimore (-4) 24/76
Baltimore has had an easy-ish schedule so far this season and is coming off a lose to the Raiders. The Redskins’ run defense is horrible; ranking 30th in the NFL. They’re missing tackles, they’re allowing third down conversions more than half the time. Baltimore has the best defense in the league. And Washington has the seventh best offence. If the Ravens can protect Flacco; they should be able to win at home.
Philadelphia (-3.5) at Detroit (+3.5) 85/15
Philadelphia is coming off a bye - and are undefeated with a rookie quarterback. Detroit lost to the Bears last week, 14 - 17. The Lions are allowing third down conversions almost half the time. Philadelphia also has a stellar defense right now. The Lions have a pretty good offence, but Stafford needs to play like a veteran and less like Philip Rivers. The Eagles should be able to stroll into Detroit and win, but the Lions could also bring them back to Earth.
Chiraq (+4.5) at Indy (-4.5) 14/86
Indy lost last week to the Jaguars in London; which must have killed European QB Andrew Luck. Both of these teams are 1-3; but Indy is playing at home; they’ve got to win. But Luck has no one to pass to besides TY Hilton. The Colts just don’t have much going for them, however they are able to convert on third down; unlike the Bears. But the Colts also coming back from London. The Bears are notoriously bad, and Brian Hoyer continues to disappoint. The Colts may have to win this, but I’m not sure if they can.
Tennessee (+3) at Miami (-3) 29/71
Miami would rather throw the ball than run the ball, but the Offensive Line is horrendous. And they’re playing just after a Hurricane; great. The Titans can run the ball; and the Dolphins can’t stop it. However, the Titans just make me sad. The Dolphins have had a little extra time to prepare for this game. I don’t trust the Titans; especially after last week - but I can’t see Ryan Tannehill winning this for the Dolphins without some major play adjustments. Miami has been the better team in the last few
years but I’m just not seeing the same team.
Houston (+6.5) at Minnesota (-6.5) 7/93
Minnesota will destroy Houston and it will be a walk in the park for them. They’re playing at a brand new Vikings facility and the Vikings have been dominating. And the Vikings defense will destroy Osweiler and his offence. Is the 12th man moving to the Vikings? I don’t see the Vikings becoming a defeated team in week 5.
Jets (+7.5) at Pittsburgh (-7.5) 3/97
The Jets are dead and Rothlisberger is going to clean up. Le’Veon Bell is playing and so is Antonio Brown. Comparatively, the Jets are not healthy. Fitzpatricks been struggling and the defense has just been embarrassing. This is like a D class college team playing an NFL team; joke worthy.
Atlanta (+4.5) at Denver (-4.5) 19/81
This should be an interesting game. The Falcons are playing at Mile High against a first round quarterback who hasn’t started this season. The Falcons have the best offence, but Denver has the best defense (and the Falcons have a terrible defense). Denver has Von Miller; and we know Defense Wins Games. I’m not confident that Denver can win this game though; this could easily be an upset.
Cincinnati (-2.5) at Dallas (+2.5) 54/46
Dallas is playing at home with rookie Dak Prescott; who has done incredibly well this season. Dallas has had an easy schedule though. TE Tyler Eifert is out with the Bengals. The Bengals need to stop having so many penalties; if they continue on this route they will continue to lose. This will be a tough game; but the Bengals should win.
Buffalo (Pick) at LA (Pick) 47/53
The Ryan brothers are traveling across the country which is never an easy thing to do. They’re also coming from a huge win against New England. They’re playing in LA though, against an incredibly underrated Rams team. The Rams will put the pressure on Taylor. They also have Gurley and Keenan. I think the Bills will underrate the Rams and lose, but I also thought they would lose last week.
San Diego (+3.5) at Oakland (-3.5) 14/86
Oakland. Oakland is playing at home against another California team. They’ve got Derek Carr, Michael Crabtree, Khalil Mack, usually Tay Train. Carr is very aware; he’s good in the red zone, good releasing the ball. I would like to see more from the Raider’s defense and I want more from Khalil Mack. However, Rivers and the Super-Chargers are just a continuous disappointment and they continue to give away their leads in games. We’ll see a lot of points on the board from both these teams; but I don’t think the Chargers defense will be able to stop the Raider’s Offense.
Giants (+7) at Green Bay (-7) 6/94
The Packers are coming off a bye; and the Giants played on Monday. The Packer’s haven’t been spectacular this year though; however, the Giants have been exceptionally bad. These teams normally play well against each other. Odell Beckham has to get his act together though and he’s due a good game; but I don’t know if this is his week. Anyway; the Packers are gonna win because even if it’s a close game; Eli will lose it for the Giants in the last 90 seconds; or their terrible kicker will miss in the last few seconds because neither are clinch players.
Tampa Bay (+4) at Carolina (-4) 13/87
Helllllllllllo disaster. Carolina may have been a Super Bowl contender but my goodness, they’ve been playing poorly this year. And they’re playing without Cam Newton; but a Newton time out might be good for Carolina. Both teams are 1-3. Tampa Bay has no key players; and Winston has promise but there is no such thing as a one man team. The Defense is horrible. Carolina might not have their Super Bowl QB, but they’ve still got their team (kind of).
